Description

Join your Grand Rapids Running Tours for a FREE walk through Grand Rapids' Black history.

This tour specifically examines the African American population from 1826 until the present; The remarkable people, places, events, issues, legends and facts about being Black in Grand Rapids.

Tour guide Caroline Cook will walk you through a maze of touchstones in #DowntownGR that prompt intriguing narrative.

ABOUT THE WORLD OF WINTER FESTIVAL

The annual World of Winter festival is designed to take advantage of Michigan’s cold climate, provide interesting ways for people to enjoy the season and make Grand Rapids a better winter city - which makes Grand Rapids a better year-round city.

The 2021 festival happens through January and February and features a variety of FREE programming and activities for families and adults.
