Hotspot
If you do not have internet in your home you can borrow a hotspot. Hotspots can be checked out for 21 days and they can be renewed if there are not any holds. Hotspots must be returned to the customer service desk/Walk-up Window at your local branch. You must be over 18 and have a current photo ID with proof of current address.

Check Out Passes and Tickets to Local Attractions
Did you know you can check out passes and tickets to local museums, the zoo, performing arts venues, and Fredrick Meijer Gardens? Passes for these organizations can be obtained at all 8 branches. These passes allow up to 6 people to visit the organization and you can only check out one pass at a time. There is a limit of 1 pass per organization per year. Check out the website for additional information.

DVD's and CD's
The library has a variety of DVDs and CDs for members to enjoy. Availability varies from location to location. You can also stream music and movies via Hoopla. Hoopla is a digital media service brought to you by the public library. You will need your library card to use Hoopla.

Vinyl Records and Record Players
Vinyl what? Yes, you read that correctly. The Public library has vinyl records and portable record players available at the Main Library and West Side Branch. You can check out up to five records and one portable record player at a time. Not sure how to use one? A library staff member can help.
The library, of course, also has plenty more to discover, from books to DVDs to regular events like Phone-a-Story and Spring fun on the Lawn. You can always find all of the Grand Rapids Public Library events on our Macaroni KID Grand Rapids calendar!
