Our 2021 Grand Rapids Bucket List

As 2021 gets underway we're feeling so much more hopeful that the end of the pandemic is in sight and are optimistic about a much brighter year ahead in Grand Rapids. So my family worked on creating a 2021 bucket list of fun things we want to do in Grand Rapids in 2021, many of which we missed out on during 2020 because of COVID. 

I wanted to share it with you! 

So here's our 2021 family bucket list of family-friendly, post-pandemic fun in Grand Rapids (in no particular order!). We'll continue adding to it as the year goes on. What does your family have on your bucket list of family fun in Grand Rapids for the coming year?


2021 Grand Rapids, MI Family Fun Bucket List



Hybycozo at World of Winter 

  • See all of the World of Winter attractions
  • Have a lot of museum days at Grand Rapids Public Museum, Grand Rapids Art Museum and Grand Rapids Children's Museum
  • Visit at least 25 venues for Art Prize
  • Find the best hot dog in Grand Rapids
  • Tour the Meyer May House
  • Plan a Twilight Tour at John Ball Zoo



  • Spend an afternoon picnicking and playing in the fountains at Leslie E. Tassell Park
  • Get crafty at The Mud Room
  • Go for a family bike ride at Millennium Park
  • Visit every library in Grand Rapids
  • Go to a Whitecaps game
  • Have a family brunch at at least 5 new places
